This antique wooden trunk features a distressed surface patina of teak hardwood which has evolved beautifully over the decades and taken on a beautiful acajou colour. Crafted from solid teak wood, it has a natural finish with distressed details highlighting its knots, grains, and character. Its many imperfections are authentic - each of its minor scratches, scuffs and historical repairs add to the chest's charm and character. It is a practical and multi-functional storage wood floor trunk. This old wooden chest trunk was handcrafted by skilled carpenters.
The lid lifts to reveal a spacious interior perfect for storing throws, linens, and more. Inside the large interior is a narrow compartment with a lid. A great storage place for the storage of magazines, remote controls, and the organisation of smaller items. Finished with cast iron details, two lockable latches and corner brackets elevate the look of this piece.
Apart from functional storage, the chest can be used as a side or small coffee table. The chest has a large top surface suited for board games or displaying trinkets. It is perfect as a coffee table or would find its place in a hallway, study, or bedroom.
