Round Red Basket
Handmade basket made with recycled Africa waxed fabric and straw. African Wax fabric developed in Africa for centuries. Stemming from its Indonesian batik origin, the fabric offers vibrant colours and patterns. Dried straw is harvested locally in Africa, dried, and then woven. These baskets were from a French company that has opened weaving schools for young girls in 14 villages across Senegal, employing more than 2,000 women. These high-quality baskets make an excellent gift for a friend or family member.
The striking red basket would complement any interior area and give a splash of colour wherever it is put. The original pattern on the fabric can be seen before it was recycled into fabric stripes to produce this stunning work of art. These various-size baskets may be used for a variety of reasons, keeping you organised while adding a stylish touch to your decor.
