Handmade basket made with recycled plastic and straw. Recycled plastic is made of remelted recycled plastic with added pigment to give its elegant black and grey colours. Dried straw is harvested locally in Africa, dried, and then woven. Great for storage or planter for indoor plants. These baskets were from a French company that has opened weaving schools for young girls in 14 villages across Senegal, employing more than 2,000 women.
