Recycled plastic is made of remelted recycled plastic with added pigment to give its beautiful vibrant colours of blue, yellow, or multicolour as well as the elegant black and grey options. Dried straw is harvested locally in Africa, dried, and then woven. These baskets were from a French company that has opened weaving schools for young girls in 14 villages across Senegal, employing more than 2,000 women.
