John Ryan is one of Ireland's finest potters, perfecting his skills over a number of decades in the top studio in the country and mastering his skills while travelling in Countries like Japan, and around the middle east. John was able to set up his very own pottery studio with all knowledge, education and experience he gained. All this contributed to his successful pottery studio in Sligo for the past 20 years.

The pottery he creates is simple, authentic, well made and skilful. Staying true to the beauty of the roaming hills and vast landscape of the west of Ireland. All of the pottery has been glazed with a special food safe glaze that John created, and all of the pottery produced in John's workshop is food safe, dishwasher safe, and oven safe.
