Handmade basket made with recycled plastic and straw. Recycled plastic is made of remelted recycled plastic with added pigment to give its elegant black and grey colours. Dried straw is harvested locally in Africa, dried, and then woven. The economic activity generated by this craft is reinvested back into communities, helping to fund weaving schools for young girls now employing more than 2,000 women across 14 Tribal Villages in Senegal.
