Zig Zag Basket

Handmade basket made with recycled plastic and straw. Recycled plastic is made of remelted recycled plastic with added pigment to give its elegant black and white colours. Dried straw is harvested locally in Africa and then woven into a beautiful pattern with a zig-zag along the rim. Great for storage in bedrooms and living rooms. This is an excellent substitute for storage plastic bins or makes excellent planters for indoor plants. These baskets were from a French company that has opened weaving schools for young girls in 14 villages across Senegal, employing more than 2,000 women. These high-quality baskets make a great gift for a friend or family member.

This African style design with mixed monochromatic colour gives any interior area a bohemian touch. It is also useful for organising and storing items on a desk or countertop. It may also be used as a planter or a little paper bin.
